Graduation Day Program

Our 2021 celebration features an asynchronous virtual event including messages from department leadership and a slideshow of each participating graduate, followed by a live synchronous social event. All undergrads and grads, as well as their guests, from Applied Math and Computational Finance & Risk Management are welcome to participate!  Whether you are able to celebrate with us or not, we wish you, and your loved ones, health and safety.  Congrats grads!

The ceremony begins at 1:30, but there are activities that start as early as noon.  Please visit the commencement website for schedule details, registration, and cap & gown orders.  Note: We are housed in the College of Arts & Sciences, so the MS hood color is golden yellow.  (Cap & gown not required for departmental event, which is separate from the UW Commencement.)

Diplomas will still be mailed to the address that students select in MyUW (local or permanent), three to four months following graduation. The Department of Applied Mathematics does not manage the mailing of diplomas, so please contact Graduation and Academic Records with any questions.
