Minor in Applied Mathematics

Minor Requirements

27 or more credits as follows (no substitutions):

  1. MATH 124, MATH 125, MATH 126 (5, 5, 5) or equivalent
  2. 4 applied math courses at the 300 level or above (excluding AMATH 400, AMATH 498, AMATH 499; CFRM courses may count*)
  3. Minimum grade of 2.0 required in each course (courses must be numerically graded, no S/NS.)

There is no departmental admissions requirement or application process for the minor.  Please see your undergraduate advisor to enroll in the Amath Minor.  Additional information regarding undergraduate minors at the University of Washington may be found here.

For information regarding the minor in Computational Finance, please visit the CFRM website.  *Courses taken cannot apply to both the Computational Finance minor and the Applied Mathematics minor.
