For the second year, the UW Department of Sustainability has awarded Amath with Gold Level Certification in recognition of our green office practices. Amath scored high for efforts in paper conservation, green meetings, and recycling, compost and waste reduction. Other areas recognized in the certification process include publications and marketing communications, purchasing, waste diversion, transportation, and more.
Green Certification Programs at the University of Washington align with strategies laid out in the UW Climate Action Plan and encourages staff, faculty and students to help make their office or lab at UW sustainable. Prior to achieving gold status for the first time in 2017, Amath obtained silver status in 2016.
