Professor Chris Bretherton has been named the 2019 Bernhard Haurwitz Memorial Lecturer "for fundamental advances in understanding cloud processes across scales from turbulence and convection to atmospheric waves and large-scale circulations." He will receive the award at the upcoming 99th American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in January, 2019.
