We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tom Trogdon, currently at UC Irvine's Math Department, has accepted our offer to join the department, effective this autumn, as an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics.
Dr. Trogdon is a PhD graduate (2013) of our department. He is interested in many topics, including Random Matrices, the probabilistic investigation of numerical algorithms, stochastic processes and partial differential equations. For more information, see https://www.math.uci.edu/
Dr. Trogdon is the recipient of a 2018 NSF Career Award, the 2017 SIAM Gabor Szego Prize, and the 2014 SIAM DiPrima Prize.
