Congratulations to UW Amath PhD students Natalie Wellen, Biraj Pandey, and incoming student Marlin Figgins who have recently been awarded National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships. We would also like to congratulate Amath MS student Maksym Viktorovich Zhelyeznyakov, concurrently working on his PhD in ECE, who has also received this prestigious fellowship. The Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or in STEM education.
