Earlier this year, we shared the sad news of Bob O'Malley's passing.
To honor Bob's legacy, his wife Candy has generously established the Bob O'Malley Endowment. This endowment is specifically aimed at students whose contributions will increase the diversity of the department, following his commitment to looking for "interesting" students while he was in charge of admissions to the graduate program, as this often meant students from underrepresented groups.
