Congratulations to Professor Anne Greenbaum, who has been selected as the 2022 Sonia Kovalesky Lecturer by AWM/SIAM. Anne was recognized (from the prize citation) "for her long lasting and significant impact on many aspects of numerical linear algebra". Her prize lecture will be delivered at the SIAM Annual Meeting (Pittsburgh, PA, July 11-15, 2022).
The AWM/SIAM Sonia Kovalesky Lecture Prize was established in 2002 to honor Sonia Kovalesky and her work on the theory of differential equations. It is awarded to anyone in the scientific or engineering community whose work highlights the achievements of women in applied and computational mathematics.
