The Department held its Dessert Competition in the Lewis Hall Lounge on Friday, February 9, 2024! This is an annual event, going on for almost 20 years now: each year everyone competes to see who can create the best dessert, with different award categories. These categories included best overall, taste, presentation, alternative (vegan or gluten free). Prizes include cookbooks, serving ware, baking and cooking tools, and more. A dedicated panel of judges sacrificed their New Year resolutions to pick the deserving winners:
- Overall - Zhan Shi
- Taste - Arvid Levander
- Presentation - Sara Ichinaga
- Alternative - Anna Dodson
