Submitted by Ingrid Richter on

The Department has recently joined the Erdős Institute as a departmental member!

From the Erdos Institute: The Erdős Institute is a multi-university collaboration that helps graduate students and PhDs get rewarding jobs in industry. We provide fully remote boot camps (Data Science and UX Research) and mini-courses (e.g. Python Prep, Data Visualization, Software Engineering for Data Scientists, etc.) taught by former academics for current academics. We also provide career coaching and industry placement services, including career exploration seminars, one-on-one career advising, behavioral and technical interview preparation workshops, employer and Erdős alumni career connections, opportunities for direct applications to jobs, and job postings.

Erdős runs three cohorts per year: Fall (September-December), Spring (January-April), and May-Summer (May-August.)

Enrollment is free for current University of Washington MS and PhD students in Applied Mathematics, postdocs, acting instructors, Applied Mathematics graduate alumni (up until one year out from graduation), lecturers, and faculty. For more information about eligibility for the free departmental membership, please email amath-gpa@uw.edu.
