Assistant Professor
Biography
Hosseini's research interests lie at the intersection of applied mathematics, probability theory, and statistics focusing on the analysis and development of computational methods for extracting meaningful information from data.
Hosseini is particularly interested in rigorous theoretical understanding of machine learning algorithms and incorporation of uncertainty quantification in data science tasks. Previously Hosseini served as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow and a von Karman Instructor at California Institute of Technology and obtained a PhD in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University.
