Laura Matrajt

Dr. Matrajt was born and raised in Mexico City. As an applied mathematician, she is passionate about using quantitative tools (mathematical models, statistics, optimization theory) to improve Public Health and to gain a better understanding of human infectious diseases. Dr. Matrajt research focuses on three areas: mathematical models of infectious disease epidemiology, the interactions of infectious pathogens with their hosts and the immune system, and the optimization of resources for public health interventions.
