Thomas Grandine

Shortly after receiving his Ph.D. in numerical analysis from the University of Wisconsin, Tom moved to the Pacific Northwest to begin a 35 year career with The Boeing Company.  While there he worked on a great many challenging applied mathematics problems before retiring in late 2020.  He is delighted to be afforded an opportunity to share some of what he has applied to real world problems with students at the University of Washington.
